i made some changes to xpl.pm and was trying to see if it worked. i stopped & restarted the slimserver after making the changes but my changes don't appear to be loaded. do i need to force the server to reload the perl module? shouldn't it do that on startup? i've already had xpl support enabled & running before i made the changes. this is on win2k.

if you are running the server using the windows EXE, your changes have no
effect. slim.exe is a bundled interpreter with all modules already included.
if you want to hack, download ActivePerl, use the tar.gz version of the server,
use slimserver.pl to start the server.

You need to install Active Perl and then run the Slim.pl file.

You'll have to start the perl version, not the executable slim.exe. If you
did not already, install ActivePerl (http://www.activestate.com) and run
"perl slimserver.pl" from the server folder.
