How do I use the CLI from Applescript code. I was using the web interface but the headers are/were removed and I have been advised to switch to the CLI. Not sure how to access the PORT for read/write. Any help from others would be appreciated.

To use the CLI you must be able to telnet the server. I am not sure this
is natively supported in Applescript, maybe you can find extensions
(f.e. check
<http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Developer-Tools/Make-the-Connection.shtml>),
otherwise this link shows how to script terminal. I guess it could work
for simple things...

<http://members.ozemail.com.au/~clt1/applescript.html>, script
AllTheaterList.sit.

Hope this helps

Thanks. i am trying to read the song playing on Slim Server and display it on my keypads in my home stereo system. Planning on using Indigo app. I want to avoide use of Terminal, unless it can run in the background completely. I need to be able to send command line text to the Port and read a response. Similarly I need to do the same for sending text to the Keypad (communicate through a port)
