I have been looking for how to add this type of stream - I believe that
under the hood it is a Windows Media stream. Is this something that I
need AlienBBC to do? Any people with experience on this able to help me
out? I would love Indie103 (an boo to all the naysayers who said it
would shut down on March 31). This is the best local radio ever - Steve
Jones of the Sex Pistols, Henry Rollins, Rob Zombie, Aphex Twin, Dave
Navarro (Camp Freddy) - all DJs playing what they want to play. Awesome.

That looks like a mms stream. What you can do is use Winamp to shoutcast it to yourself and tune in with the SqueezeBox.
Make sure to use the null output plugin on the PC

Oh, the secret is the URL mms://ccdig.liquidviewer.com/indie103
and you have to add /.wma to the end

So when you open Winamp, open URL, paste:
mms://ccdig.liquidviewer.com/indie103/.wma

If you are using windows, slimply pasting this url (mms://ccdig.liquidviewer.com/indie103) into the radio station web page of
slimserver should work.
[Slimserver for windows ships with the right things to play mms streams - you may need the most recent versions of 6.0 though]

You only need AlienBBC if you are not using windows for your server.

Sadly, I am on Linux (well not that sadly). Does AlienBBC do any of this?

Resurrecting this ancient thread, I thought I'd point out that this best-of-all-radio station now has an mp3 stream available. See http://www.indie1031.fm.
