    Stability of v6.02

    Hello,

On my system (a Linux Gentoo box) Slimserver is not very stable at the
moment. I will play fine, but often when I leave it alone for a while it
just goes away, crashes, stops, whatever.
This is quite annoying, the 5.x releases happily ran for weeks on end,
but now I have to keep starting the slimserver process again (which
involves booting up the desktop, as my server's headless, so quite a
    nuisance).

    What's up here?

    Krist

What does the logfile say (/tmp/slimserver.log by default)? Are you using
    MySQL as database?

I am using MySQL. The logfile is a bit unclear, as it does not have
timestamps I do not know if error messages are relevant...

      The last lines are like:

      Assuming raw pcm input file
      Error writing mp3 output
      Assuming raw pcm input file
      Error writing mp3 output

Slim:ataStores:BI::Track can't SELECT id, multialbumsortkey, thumb,
age, ct, titlesort, album, tracknum, url, tag, title, disc, fs

      WHERE url = ?

Thought so ;-). There's a known problem with slimserver losing its
connection to MySQL. The but 947 contains an "experimental fix" for this.
You could give it a try (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=947)

        MySQL isn't officially supported, though.
