View Full Version : Sleep Timer Option in Main Menu

Hello all!

I just recently upgraded to version 6.0.2 and I was wondering if there is any way to add the Sleep Timer to the main menu of the Squeezebox (I like to be able to lay in bed and use Salling Clicker to set how long the music will be playing).

I was able to do this with 5.4 (Player Settings -> Menus), but "Sleep" is not listed as something that can be added in 6.0.2.

Thanks!
Kush

I don't recall 5.4 having a stock option for sleep timer in the menus.
Could it be possible that you had installed the sleep timer plugin? If
so, you will have to get an update for this plugin. Changes in the way
6.0.2 works require some editing on the part of plugin authors. After
copying the new plugin, your menu item should return to its usual spot.

cheers,

I believe it was Sleep.pm plugin. I dont see it on the Slim Devices
site or any good link from google that isn't an old mailing list post,
so it may not have a host site anywhere. This is the plugin posted,
with the displayName change required by slimserver 6.0. hopefully that
is all that needs to be changed. Download the attachment and save to
your Plugins dir, probably overtop of the one that is no doubt still
left there (disabled by 6.0)

Thank you very much! I am a little confused, though. Where should I download the edited version from? I didn't see an attachment; and I deleted all my earlier plugins associated with Server 5.4, so I can't really edit myself.

Thanks, again!

it seems that the forums don't support attachments from the email
gateway.

email me off-list slim-mail (at) deane-freeman.com
and I'll forward you a copy.
