Gonna pick up my real radio tomorrow (thanks for the tip, Dan), but I've
been using my hacked up audio streamer for a couple of hours with no
issues. Ogg transcoding is kind of a CPU hog, but otherwise it's working
great.

Here's my in-progress documentation, I hope to get a plugin written for
controlling the radio tuner within a couple of weeks.

I'll probably also look into a different streamer that sends MP3 instead
of Ogg, for reduced CPU usage. My research and testing so far indicates
that lowering quality in Ogg does nothing for CPU usage, it's encoding
at full rate no matter what and then throwing away the stuff that
shouldn't go into a low-quality file/stream.

Got my radio and it works great -- now to set up time-shifting for my
wife's favorite shows. After that I'll dig into the Slimserver plugin
documentation and see about running this little bugger via the remote
control :)
