There's a couple of BBC radio programs I'd dearly like to record for later
listening. Can AlienBBC handle this? If not, is there any other way
torecord apart from paying for the full version of <spit> Real Player?

Cheers and TIA

mplayer can save real streams - I'm not sure of the legality of this but the command is something like:

mplayer -vo null -cache 32 -af resample=44100:0:1 -ao pcm -aofile save.wav -playlist http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio....stream name.ram

(Note: this is the syntax for mplayer 1.0pre6, it is slightly different for 1.0pre7, see the help file for more information.)

Thanks Aaron. This looks interesting. For $12 I'm going to give it a try!

Thanks Neil, but I'm on WinXP unfortunately.Sorry to be a bit thick, but MPlayer works on windows too - in fact you require it for AlienBBC!
