View Full Version : Custom Strings Not Recognized

I've used a custom-strings.txt for a couple of years now. My
player has all of a sudden quit using it. I only have a few
modifications in it (such as "Playing" instead of "Now
Playing".) I recently had to reinstall the server application.
I only noticed the problem today but that's not to say that it
didn't start some time ago as I may just not have noticed.

all of the following should work with slimserver:

strings.txt
.slimp3-strings.txt
slimp3-strings.txt
.slimserver-strings.txt
slimserver-strings.txt
.custom-strings.txt
custom-strings.txt

I'm using a slimserver-strings.txt file, and it works fine.
check that your custom file has the proper white space and line endings
tabs and line endings are critical.

Where did you put that file? If it was in the folder you removed before
installing I guess it's gone :-/.

If you want to start again: download my stringeditor plugin - you'll be
able to change texts on the fly without having to restart your server.
