View Full Version : Oh no, my SB2 has just died.

I selected Monday night's Late Junction from AlienBBC, hit play (from the web interface), got a burst of noise and then the SB2 display locked up showing the programme with the right VDU at max and the left near min, and no sound. The server's still running and having recycled the SB2 it's now completely blank. PSU measures 5.2V. Anyone got any bright ideas?

I was running yesterday's 6.1 branch (V12 firmware?)

This sounds like a software crash got it into a locked-up state. Try
power cycling a few times and see if it snaps out of it. Otherwise
contact support (AT) slimdevices (DOT) com - they may be able to unwedge it for
you, or it may need replacement.

also restart your slimserver and/or your PC. I have found that when AlienBBC crashes it locks the slimserver solid, and becasue the squeezebox depends on the server for _everything_ a dead slimserver will make the squeezebox look dead too.

Thanks for the replies.

I have power cycled a number of times, to no avail. I get the audio thump on power-on, but no display or web control.

The web server was running, but I restarted it anyway.
