Hi,

i grab a CD with eac in one large .wav and a .cue. With this files everything inside Slimserver works fine. If i compress the wav with flac (and also edit the .cue), the artists inside Slimserver are not correctly recognized.

Is there any FAQ for using SlimServer with FLAC an CUE?

What's wrong with my files?

---- .cue for .wav

If not, someone should probably start one.

hmm...
It looks like the current cuesheet parsing code expects indententation
to differentiate disc level values from track level values. It
probably does this in part because the same tags get reused. For
example "TITLE" can mean either album title or track title depending
on how and where it's used. (Someday I'm going to find the guy who
thought of using CD-Text in a cuesheet for metadata, and have a long
talk...)

If you open a bug report on this, I'll look into that bit of code and
see if something can be done in the way it parses that.
In the mean time, try this and see if it works any better...

---- .cue for .flac
PERFORMER "Apocalyptica"
TITLE "Seemann [CD-SINGLE]"
FILE "Apocalyptica-Seemann.flac" FLAC
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Seemann [radio edit]"

TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Seemann [album version]"

TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "Heat"
