I'm using the touch skin on a 800x600 Simpad touchpad and want to modify the skin to better fit on the low resolution screen. I have no programming experience at all but I managed to I edit some .html files using a simple text editor but that is extremely cumbersome. I tried several html editors, but just opening and saving the files made them inoperative. Is there a simple html editor to make that work simpler? Any recommendations welcome.

I wish I had one of those... still too expensive on ebay...

What about the Handheld skin?

No editor can take the cumbersome part. The files aren't pure html. You'll
have to go the hard way with a text editor. I guess you're running
windows. Give Ultraedit a try. Or Textpad.

Using Simpad is really great. With my amateurish modifications of the touch skin I managed to shrink some items to fit on the screen and can operate most items with my fingertips without pen.
The handheld skin is so tiny it's hard to operate even with the pen.
I hope someone will improve the touch skin and make it useable for different screensizes. I would if i could.....

Hmm... I'm using it on a PDA with 240x360 - without a pen! Don't cut your
finger nails and you're fine ;-)

And I would if I had a Simpad... Are they still produced or is ebay really
the only place to get them? I can't understand why that product wasn't a
big hit (except for it being too early on the market).

As far as I know ebay is the only source. Approx. Euro 230.
Siemens has even removed Simpad and its support from their website.
