View Full Version : 3/24 nightly downsampling to 96kbps problem

I am streaming my music to work and listen to it using softsqueeze.

Because of limited bandwidth I used to down sample my music to 96kbps
and all worked fine.

With the 3/24 release, 96kbps doesn't play anymore, it seems to go
through the motions as I can see the following process running:

/usr/bin/lame --resample 44100 --silent -q 9 -b 96 /var/music/Com...

but nothing plays and also the progress bar in softsqueeze is not moving.

However if I switch to 128kbps it works fine:

/usr/bin/lame --resample 44100 --silent -q 9 -b 128 /var/music/Com...

I am not sure where is the problem though, slimserver or softsqueeze.

It was a Softsqueeze problem. I have just checked in a fix that will be
in tomorrow's nightly.

Yeah,I realized that when I got home and tried it on the squeezebox and
it worked.

Thanks for fixing it.
