This is probably obvious, but I would like to know if Internet Radio
works on a regular dial up connection.

Can you try it using your computer? If the internet radio to your
computer works, it would work with the sqeezebox, I would think.

Yes, depending on the bitrate of your connection (?56k in theory, a lot
less depending on the quality of your phone line.

As long as the bitrate of the station is less than your available
bandwidth you should be fine. I think all the bbc stations are less than
56k, and most other staions have different speed options.
