With the talk of the site (I can't remember the URL right off) that custom makes faceplates and other stuff, does anyone have drawings for a SQZ1 and SQZ2 that they are willing to share?

Andrew <---Keen on getting a 1U box built to fit in with the look of the rest of the kit!

Installed biography to plugins...renamed it to Biography.pm (why not?)
copied everything else over....also installed MHCPAN to the plugins to
fill in for the missing modules, as I am playing with this on a windows
200 box. I get no more errors on the console in regards to the
biography plugin, so it seems that the modules dependancies are being
satisfied.....however I also get none of the functionality of the
module. Where is the biography info supposed to appear under the
Fishbone interface? I was assuming that if I clicked on a song it would
be enabled or something under the song information (like the
screenshot). Instead it just seems to be the normal song info
interface. Yes, the plugin is enabed and I've rebooted the server
several times. (if you must ask).

Would be kind of cool to see this work.....

it will appear in the help section of the Fishbone skin (sucks, I know, but
that's the only remnant of the home.html.

--d_plugins will show any errors loading it on startup.

if its listed in server settings->plugins, it should have at least loaded
(SlimServer drops any that dont from that list)

2005-03-16 04:19:37.4194 Can't load Plugins::Biography for Plugins menu:
Undefin
ed subroutine &Plugins::Biography::getDisplayName called at
/PerlApp/Slim/Button
s/Plugins.pm line 157.

It doesn't appear in the help section of the default theme either.

When I browse around to the plugins page the console dumps the following:

2005-03-16 04:27:45.6816 Undefined string: BIOGRAPHY
requested language: EN
failsafe language: EN

Something is wrong or missing. BTW, I'm not using the latest
nightly....just the default 6.x stable.

Do I really need the latest nightly?

Thanks!

not required, but you do avoid the undefined string warnings with the latest.
you have to have the latest version of biography.zip (unzipped to get
biography.pm) of course

Simple answer: because you want the plugin to work ;-). Why do you want to
rename it? Does the plugin reside in its own Plugins/Biography folder?

Where do these files reside _exactly_?

This must be Plugins/Biography/Plugin.pm ;-)

I think you are suppose to put the entire plugin into the Plugins
directory.

I have mine symlinked:

$ ls -l Plugins/Biography
lrwxrwxrwx 1 moseley moseley 36 2005-03-15 10:34 Plugins/Biography -> /home/moseley/Slim_plugins/Biography

$ ls Plugins/Biography
HTML Plugin.pm
