Michael,

Thanks for that. I have commented out line 11 of /etc/inputrc as you suggested, but Slimserver (V6.0b1 now) still fails on boot-startup with the logfile message:

"DBI connect('dbname=/root/.slimserversql.db','',...) failed: unable to open database file(1) at dbdimp.c line 94 at /usr/local/slimserver//Slim/DataStores/DBI/DataModel.pm line 106"

That appears to be a common FC3 issue - the Fedora people did something
that most Perl people think is wrong -

edit your /etc/inputrc and comment out line 11:

# directories have a slash appended.
#set mark-symlinked-directories on

Try to see if that fixes things....
