View Full Version : Insane number of timers

Just come across this when using a large playlist (playing all my music on random):

Server hangs, and consumes 100% CPU. After a minute or so Slimserver quits with message:

Insane number of timers: 9639

This is just above the number of tracks in the playlist (9633). The error is generated in Slim::Utils::Timers where there are over 500 timers, but I don't see why each item in the playlist counts as one...

Colin.

Aha!
Maybe that is my problem then. I have lots of playlist that
are 6-9000 songs in. The slimserver/devices are running
24-7 and have a wakeupalarmclock at 6:30 in the morning
just to force the device playing if they stops.
The service are set to "Restart" when service fails in
windows.
I will test to set nonrandom on the big playlists and se if
it stills kill the server sometimes. (serveral times per
day).
