I took delivery of my new Squeezebox today (new graphic version), to
replace my Slip3.

I've also had display problems. Here is what I've found so far.

Initial Setup:
Squeezebox connected to D-Link DWL-810 Wireless Bridge (11Mbps)
PC connected to Linksys WAG54G Wireless Router (54Mbps)

Within a few minutes of starting the squeezebox I got display problems. I
kept rebooting the unit and the display would still crash in anything from
30seconds to 5 minutes. The scrolling text was also very jerky.

New setup:
The Linksys router (mentioned above) was new today along with the
squeezebox (wanted 54Mbps for my laptop), so I thought I'd try my old router.
PC now connected to D-Link DSL-604+ (11Mbps)

The squeezebox has now worked perfectly for the last hour, and the
scrolling text is smooth as it should be.

Therefore, I'm assuming that either: There is a problem using a 11Mbps
bridge with a 54Mbps WAP, or, The DLink bridge and Linksys router just
don't like each other!

If I get chance later, I will try the Linksys router again, but put it into
11Mbps mode.

Hope this information helps.

Cheers

I've just tried the Linksys 54Mbps router in 11Mbps mode, and the
squeezebox was still crashing. So, it looks like I'll have to put my new
Linksys on eBay, and keep the 11Mbps D-Link.

Cheers

Mine keep crashing, too (linksys bridges and AP), and I'd prefer to find
out what causes the slimserver to crash.

Dean/Sean: Any progress on this one?
