View Full Version : Problems running SoftSqueeze with FC3

Thanks Michael!

(Can you tell I have no idea what I'm doing?)

Still "Error starting Squeezebox" I'm afraid.

I'm having some problems getting the sound card to work properly, is this
likely to be what's causing the error? I assumed I'd get the interface up,
even if I couldn't hear what was being streamed.

I have another machine which now dual boots XP/FC3, so I'll try SoftSqueeze
on the Linux boot tommorrow (UK time). Sadly the Slimserver's on the XP
boot, so I probably won't get any sound out of that one either!

Thanks for your patience.

It looks like I missed the darn -jar flag resulting in this...

/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/SoftSqueeze/jar

instead of:

/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/SoftSqueeze.jar

----------------------------------------------
Try:

java -classpath
/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/dtd-xercesImpl.jar:/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/jfl
ac-1.0.jar:/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/jl0.4p1.jar:/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib
/jl1.0.jar:/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/jnlp.jar:/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/js
ch-20040429.jar:/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/log4j-1.2.8.jar:/usr/local/SoftSq
ueeze/lib/tritonus_mp3.jar:/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/tritonus_share.jar:/us
r/local/SoftSqueeze/lib/xml-apis.jar -jar
/usr/local/SoftSqueeze/SoftSqueeze.jar

Sorry for this slow torture...
