Hi Patrick,

thanks a lot for the attachement.
As you are using AlienBBC you are requesting the stream in Real format
-
right?
Did you try to get some streams in wma format?
Why Im asking is it seems that converting streams from real into mp3
causes a lot of CPU load (I read that in the documentation of AlienBBC)

On the other hand - I noticed some stations sending only wma streams...

Danke und Gruss
Juergen

Juergen,

You are right. My playlists are a mixed bag of Real and WMA streams. I
have a pretty powerful Linux box running the Slimserver software, so the
CPU load is negligible. I have certainly never noticed a problematic
CPU load with either format, and I have enjoyed countless hours of happy
listening with both.

Ich hoffe dass hilft! :-)

Ciao,

Patrick

Hallo Patrick,

it would be nice if you also could send me the .zip file, as I am not getting Radio Hamburg to work with my Twonky/Roku combination and just started to look into Slim.

Thanks,
Karlson.
