Just wanted to report a bug in the 6.0 (nightly 02-20, Windows ver).
When I tried to add an RSS feed under Modify RSS feeds as soon as I
put in the new feed (in this case wsj.com) and click change,
SlimServer would crash.

It is repeatable.

Charles - can you get me a server log?

Thanks.

There is no emergency. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Dan,

Where do I find the log? Do I have to turn on logging first?

Thanks,
Charles

look in the windows event viewer (win2k and higher). control panel,
administrator tools.

either that, or run from the command prompt
(start->programs->accessories->command prompt)

c:\program files\slimserver\server\slim.exe

then do what you do to cause the crash.

Here is the url I put in:

http://online.wsj.com/xml/rss/0,,3_7011,00.xml

Here is the event from the event viewer:
========
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date: 2/20/2005
Time: 11:22:01 PM
User: N/A
Computer: LROOM
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following
information is part of the event: Can't call method "title" on an
undefined value at /PerlApp/Slim/Player/Protocols/HTTP.pm line 270.
==============

It happens everytime right after I click 'change.' I then have to
start SlimServer again from in Services.

Thanks Charles - I just checked in a fix, which will be in tonight's build at 1am US/Pacific.
