View Full Version : Slim server doesn't report Itunes playlists correctly

I have noticed similar behavior.
I think that the playlists are not updated until the end of a rescan.
(This is a guess, I haven't looked at the code...)

Rescanning a large library takes a long time, which makes minor updates in
iTunes (tag edits, playlist adjustments, etc.) painful since the
slimserver has to rescan everything.

That is correct. The playlists are a virtual thing, so the easiest way to deal
with playlists that might get removed is to delete and rebuild.

This will be much better in 6.0 The scanning is scheduled a bit better, but the
playlists are still deleted and rebuilt.
