Hello,
I am working on a java-script application which uses the XML interface
of the SlimServer (XMLHttpRequest()). It worked directly with Mozilla,
but fails in Safari. After many hours of trial and error I finally found
the cause:
<status xmlns="http://www.slimdevices.com/slimserver/xml">

As soon as I remove the xmlns attribute it works fine in Safari. I this
attribute needed or could it be removed without problems?

Second, I noticed the encoding.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" standalone="no"?>
Why don't we use UTF-8?

Regards,

Harald

We can remove that if it's a problem, but I'd like to understand why
it's failing. Anybody know?
