View Full Version : Suse 9.2 slimserver startup script - boot.local?

Can anyone explain how I can get slimserver to start up automatically on
my installation in Suse 9.2.

The RPM installation did not work properly so I downloaded and unpacked
the Perl source code to file:/home/user/SlimServer_v5.4.0. I've
successfully started the slimserver.pl file from the command line but
cannot figure out how to get it to run automatically at startup.

Can it be done just by editing the etc/init.d/boot.local shell script? If
so, how does it need to be changed? Please bear in mind that I know next
to nothing about linux.

Thanks

Nick
