    SlimServer and Win 2003

My Windows 2003 server is a PIII 800 with 256Mb of memory. Not a high end
machine. Will it run on this are is this too low end of a machine?

When you stated it ran for a while, can you be more specific? Will it just
die after a while; did you have problems with the software or did you just
move to software to a different machine?

    Thank you,
    Tim Smiley

Yeah, I ran it on a 2003 Server machine for a little while. Just use
the installer and check the box that says, "start automatically" and
it'll run as a service. To use the EXE version on Windows, you don't
need anything extra like Perl. All the Perl modules are included with
    the distribution.

It will run. I'm running mine on a C3/800 (which is even on a lower end).
But overall performance depends on other tasks and services running at the
same time and on the size of your collection. Add some memory (and shut
down those Exchange and SQL servers ;-)) and you should be fine.

    "It doesn't work - what shall I do?" - "Please check your server.log and/or scanner.log file!"
