Hi,
I post here as I don't understand why it doesn't function anymore ! I
just reinstalled my linux slimserver (moved to Mandrake 10.1) and
latest build of SlimServer. I installed the faad2 package I found on
plf faad2-2.0-7plf.i586.rpm with its library package. I reused the same
configuration in convert.conf as previously:

mov wav squeezebox *
[faad] -f 2 -w $FILE$

But now each time I try to play an AAC file through my slimserver I
get a shuuuuu noise and that's all. What's wrong ?
Thanks for your help

Vincèn

faad has changed its default output recently so it depends precisely which version you are using.

Assuming you stick with your the current faad, does the following work instead:

move aif
[faad] -f 2 -w $FILE$

If you are using faad based on the latest cvs, try the following alternative:

mov wav * *
[faad] -w -s 44100 $FILE$
mov mp3 * *
[faad] -w -s 44100 $FILE$ | [lame] -r -x -q $QUALITY$ -b $BITRATE$ - -

(Just found this in a previous post I made about this -

Thanks Adrian for the info, it resolved my issue partially. When I play
an aac file now it plays correctly. But if I have a playlist with two
aac one after the other, it plays the first well, then when it goes to
the second at the end of the first, I got the shuuuu again ! If I do
previous and next I can then listen the track correctly ! An idea ?

Thanks

Vincèn
