I tested the swedish listings on my machine and I did
not experience any problems. I am running ActiveState
Perl 5.6.1. My version of the XML::Simple library is
1.06. Does that match what you have set up?

I noticed (via Google) that this error has been
mentioned on this list before with respect to loading
the strings table.

I have XML::Simple 2.12 and perl :
This is perl, v5.8.4 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread

I reinstalled everything and now it works!

The only problem is that swedish (international) characters aren't
displayed correctly.
See softsqueeze screenshot below (softsqueeze and squeezebox have the
same problem).
