>Just curious, what are the "good reasons" you're referring to? Except
for someone who does not have Web access (is there anyone?), I can't
think of any.

"Good reasons" don't need to be about compatibility or accessibility, do
they? For example, I tend to be an active member of the mailing lists I
subscribe to, but less so on the forums. This is because forums require
that I go out of my way to surf and read, versus email lists, where I
can just skim the threads as I look at the rest of my email at work. As
a result, I visit forums once a day at most, but peruse mailing lists
for interesting topics constantly throughout the day and contribute more
readily. So if you're trying to have a thriving and active forum, that's
a good reason right there, I think.

Of course, if you'd like to see less of me, then that's a good reason to
go with the forums. ;) More readily-searched archives is another good
reason -- is there a searchable archive for this list, or is downloading
and searching through each month's digest the only way?

By the way, note that you're posting that question to a mailing list,
and people who find the mailing list convenient are more likely to
answer you. Expect a response that is slanted accordingly.

And no, you're not allowed to vote on whether you want to see more of
me. Heh.
