Funny you should mention that. I have dogs that behave well when we're
around, but poorly when we're at work. We briefly had a webcam to amuse
ourselves with their troublemaking during the day, but it got to be
annoying to see garbage spilled in the morning but not being able to do
anything about it until the evening.

At the time, I thought it would be nice (if impractical) to have means
for triggering audio files at home, to correct the dogs...and with
SlimServer and my Squeezebox, now I could if I were so inclined. I
wonder how they'd react to my disembodied voice...with my luck, they'd
eat the Squeezebox.

You need a Robosapien.

They have a mode that causes them to listen for sounds, and then launch into
any time of preprogrammed routine you want, like chasing your dogs or
grunting loudly at them, even throw something at them. I have one, cool
stuff.
