Did you use exactly the same address to send your mail as you used
subscribing to the list?

This is not a bug neither in Fishbone nor the plugin. But the Fishbone
skin does not show plugins in the main menu, but a little hidden in the
Help section. But I think kdf is aware of this "problem".

yup :)

I had done ome fancy trickery to make it appear as a top link when the webpage
plugins started showing up,but then it was decided that links would not be
added to teh home page and I destroyed all the work.

Some time later, when the links came back, I simply added it to the help page.
This, for fishbone skin, is really the remnants of what you know as the home
page for all the other skins.
