hello,

i tend to move around a lot IP address wise. i have most of the IP's i
use wildcarded to allow me in, but i thought it would be nice to have an
option that would allow anyone outside of the allowed IP range in as
long as they authenticated via password. that way when i'm at home, or
in some known IP range, i don't have to supply a password; otherwise i
have to take one extra step before i'm allowed in.

Hi Matt,

Have you looked at setting up a SSH tunnel? I would think it would be
secure enough that you could allow any IP to attempt to connect, with
no other filtering needed. If you are using SoftSqueeze, this
includes it's own SSH client.
Otherwise, depending on your OS you could look at
http://www.openssh.com/faq.html
http://www.jfitz.com/tips/ssh_for_windows.html

Cheers
Geoff
