View Full Version : Shortcuts In Music Directory

I added 3 shortcuts in the Music Library Location, the remote music doesn't
show in the Slim Server web interface after a stop/start of the Slim Server
service.

The shortcuts work in the file directory. I'm using Windows XP SP2, Slim
Server 6.0 (in the Help / About ) using slimserver_v2004-12-26.exe.

Any thoughts?

if you are running as a service, and the shortcuts are network drives, you may
be having a problem. Services can't by default recognise network shares/mapped
drives.

Drives aren't on the network, all shortucuts refer to a local drive, one is
internal IDE, and the other USB.

you might try a rescan or wipe cache (from server settings->performance). With
6.0, a lot changes in a short time, so you could also look at upgrading to the
slimserver_v2005-01-13.exe download (anything newer than that has an unusable
strings error for the EXE's).

Ok, they were there, I don't have everything tagged so I browse by Music
Folder - the Shortcuts are at the end of the list - doh.
