Problems with the digital coax output on Classic

Shark Navigator Lift Away Vs. Shark Rotator: Which One Is Better?

When it comes to Shark vacuums, there are two most popular types in its upright class that you should not ignore: the Shark navigator lift-away and Shark Rotator.

While many people are familiar with them, not so many grasp how they are similar and different.

As a result, in this guide, I would show you how to distinguish those upright machines.

    Design

    General Design

The first feature to notice between the Shark cleaners is their quite similar design. Both are a full-size upright vacuum, well-equipped with large dust cup capacity, broad cleaning heads, cord wraps, and practical accessories.

For more details, the vacuums are superbly functional with the two-in-one feature. That means both can run as either an upright or handheld vacuum.

A Shark Rotator weighs roughly 15.5 pounds at the upright mode, slightly heavier than its counterpart, which is around 13.5 pounds. Similarly, at the canister mode, the Shark - Navigator Lift-away Bagless upright vacuum has a lighter weight, at approximately 8 pounds, while the Rotator model comes in toughly 8.5 pounds.

    Design In Parts

What's more, both devices have four main parts: upright wand, canister, head, and accessories. Concerning the cleaning parts, there are two options for you to choose from: one for hardwood floors and one for carpets. That might be one of the most valuable features of upright cleaners, ensuring you clean various surfaces with a single machine.

Furthermore, you might notice that you can suck up an enormous amount of dust with the Navigator. That fact has its root in its bigger dust cup capacity, at around 2.2 quarts. By contrast, the Rotator model only can hold up to roughly from 1 to 1.3 quarts of debris.

Last but not least, following Shark navigator lift away reviews, a Navigator often has fewer attachments than its peer. For example, a Rotator always comes with additional LED headlights and brush roll indicator lights.

    Cleaning Performance

The next feature in the comparison process is the cleaning performance.

As I have just mentioned, both types of vacuum are often well-equipped with a brush roll for cleaning carpets and unique cleaning heads for hardwood floors. To suck up the dust into the dust cup, they also need powerful suctions.

According to Shark Rotator and Shark Navigator Lift Away Upright vacuum reviews, they perform incredibly well on hardwood floors. However, via my thorough test, they face a little difficulty in sucking up large debris such as cereal. While the Rotator model can remove around 70% of cereal spread, its counterpart can capture nearly 85%.

But, with other smaller debris like rice, sugar, or pet litter, both can altogether remove.

Like bare floors, customers are satisfied with the machine when they work on delicate rugs or low-pile carpets. Nevertheless, you might be a little disappointed if you use them on high-pile ones. The Shark machines show struggles against any debris tested. But, if I must compare, Shark Rotator seems to surpass the Navigator model in this field.

    Final Words

In conclusion, above are a complete comparison between Shark Rotator and Shark navigator lift away upright vacuum.

Overall, they have relatively similar designs, but the given Shark Navigator is rated lower in the cleaning performance. On the other hand, the type typically requires a lower price. Therefore, it mostly depends on your needs to decide which one is the best.

This is probably stating the obvious, but I presume you've tried a different cable to confirm it's not that?
Until recently: Transporter -> ATC SCM100A, now sold :-(
    House move forced change to: piCorePlayer(RPi2/HiFiBerry DIGI2 Pro) -> Meridian 218 -> Meridian M6
