So kdf, is the "now playing" screensaver a special case then? Is it not a
screensaver per se?

If "now playing" is a regular screensaver, then all I'd ask is similar
behavior. If it's a special case, then understandably... well... it's a
special case!

To reiterate a previous point, it would be super-cool to see, integrated
into v6.0, MusicInfoSCR's functionality incorporated into the native "Now
Playing" display. Problem solved then!

Thanks,

it is a special case because the screensaver trigger simply jumps to the now
playing mode, as if you had gone there via the remote. non-jump back means its
already there. if you use now playing, jump back then you see some of the same
problems as you describe. pressing a button jumps to the previous mode and
does its thing. Effectively its simply not a screensaver. In fact, the server
used to disable any screensaver if the display was showing now playing, simply
because that took care of the needs of a screensaver. However, user demand
lead to the expansion to the more 'eye candy' nature of screensavers to be
applied even if we already have an animated display.

I agree. In the meantime, I've already pointed out some experiments that might
work with the plugin.
