I've been looking for the same -- yesterday's nightly release was supposed
to inlcude a bug fix related to some "Genre" tags on Apple Lossless files
not being recognized by Slimserver. The bug was fixed in the full 5.4.1
release, but according to Slim tech support, for some reason it reappeared
in recent nightly releases because "the checkin to our source repository
failed." Imagine this is part of the reason the windows .exe version hasn't
shown up in the last couple of nightly releases, too.

Subject: [slim] Downloading Slimserver Nightly Release

Here's a basic question: I have been trying to download the latest nightly
for Windows, so I can try AlienBBC. The instructions at
http://www.slimdevices.com/dev_nightly.html say there should be a .exe file
for Windows, but I've looked for 2 days and can't see one - can someone
please tell me where it is? Many thanks!

that particular fix likely has nothing to do with why the build does not appear.
There is also no full 5.4.1 release as yet. The fix was supposed to have been
made Dec 23, when I merged the changes. It failed, along with a few other
changes that for some reason were lost around that time. I caught most and
re-merged. I failed to catch that one, so it remained unfixed until recently.

This does not, however, explain the missing windows build. At one point, I read
that the windows build was done by a computer offsite from slimdevices. If
this is still true, there are lots of very simple reasons for it not completing
properly, thus the lack of an online copy. Being the weekend, it may have been
unnoticed at the moment. Its happened before, and might again, but it will
also return in time.

I'm aware of this - unfortunately, Dean is out of town, and he has access to
the Windows build machine. We're hoping to get that fixed real soon now.
