I got a SB, and imeadiately recommended one to my parents. They love it too.
Now one thing I would like to do is share some of my playlists with them once in
a while, if I get a new cd I think they would like. Problem is (or maybe its
not a problem?) they live in another state. We both have broadband. Is there
any easy way to share a playlist with them without having to set their box up to
use my slimserver as their server for their hardware? Or maybe is there a very
convenient way to setup a SB to view multiple servers and toggle easily between
them?

Thanks for any info.

The short answer is that there's no easy way. I believe you'd have to setup
an SSH connection from a machine on their network to a machine on your
network. Their SB would point to the machine on their network with the SSH
connection and you could setup port forwarding on their machine to pass any
incoming packets through the SSH connection to your machine which could then
act as the slimserver for their SB. There's no really simple, quick, and
tidy way that I can think of to have this sort of connection up for the long
term. It might be a bit easier to set up an SSH or VNC connection which
would allow them to map one of your drives to their machine. You could then
place a shortcut to the mapped drive in their Slimserver music directory so
that your music would be available to their slimserver directly. I think
you'll find, however, that even over a relatively quick connection, a scan
of a large collection of music may be painfully slow (and every time you add
new music they'll, of course, need to rescan). Neither of these solutions,
however, qualifies as "very convenient".
