Has anyone run their Slim on both of these platforms? Currently which
platform runs it better? In the long run down the road, which platform will
be the best performer?

Thanks,
Jim

Runs fine on both, IMHO -- although I moved it over to the XP box
(2.8Ghz, 1Gb RAM, SP2) a few months back, because this was starting to
only get used for server-type tasks, anyway (...and mainly because I
tend to use my Mac a whole lot more, for all sortsa reasons... -- like
enjoyment, for example ;-). YMMV....

BTW, I'm running 5.3.1 on the XP box (because it's immensely stable;
and does all I need it to do...); whereas I was running a few versions
earlier on the Mac (iMac 15" LCD: 768Mb RAM, OS X 10.3.7).

HTH...

I would suspect Mac OS would be better in the long run. Its Unix
basis means that it is easier to develop plugins - and other upgrades
- for OS X and Linux than for Windows.

But I doubt if the advantages would be enough to make anyone decide
to change platforms. That would require a load of factors to be
considered, only one of which is SlimServer.
