View Full Version : Some radio stations no longer work

Hi, as per title: not sure exactly when it started. 2 stations that I had saved as favorites no longer play (the other 3 play fine). I then tried to access them (actually, just the one that's local) via radios>local radio, same result. Basically, I can see what track is playing on the station, everything looks normal, but instead of the pause button option (while music plays), I see the play button, & pressing it does nothing.

Thanks. I'm on a duet via ipeng, using 7.9.2/r1552283404

We can probably help more if you say which particular stations are not working.

I just tried KCRW (from UK) via LMS to Squeezelite and it worked fine.

It is AAC stream.

The track info comes from data within the stream itself ... so it does look like your system was getting the stream.

Someone else might have to chime in to say if it works on their Duet/Receiver.

A search gives 222 hits, which particular station are you trying to play?

28286

Those examples are all individual shows on wfmu, 91.1, from jersey City, NJ.

Thanks for trying. Would love to find a solution. Worked fine for last 10 years or so.

What is the Favorite url you are trying to play ? It is possible the saved URL is out of date.

When the "local Radio" search does nothing on the LMS - what is the URL that LMS is trying to play (use More menu)

It "feels" like the issue is transcoding as duet cannot play AAC natively but there could be a bit of security as well.

What is the platform being used ? Windows, Linux, PiCore ...
What is the IO::Socket:SSL version ? look at WebUI Settings/Information

According to my Duet both versions of KCRW. KCRW News and KCRW Eclectic24 are 192Kbit MP3.

Do you have LMS as well?
If yes then maybe it is transcoding them.

Yes, I just entered 'KCRW' in search and they were the first listings returned.
