Sean already sent an email indicating that there were a batch with the
problem. If you aren't having issues then there probably isn't even a
second connector to try, and even if it is there it will probably make no
appreciable difference).

My signal strength was loafing along at 42%, whereas my laptop
(10 feet away) reported "excellent" strength, so I dug out the
torx driver from the display upgrade and changed connectors,
and lo and behold, now I'm getting 62%. Not as big an
improvement as others, but significant nonetheless.

My box was a Christmas present too - Christmas 2003, that is.
Serial number 200A7FA.
