Hi folks,

I'm very happy with my squeezebox but there's an annoying detail. When I
playback an ogg file of for example one hour length, I have occasional
dropouts where playback is interrupted for about 4 or 5 seconds, and
then it continues. This happens about 2-3 times an hour.

I notice that slimserver is demanding high CPU load during this few
seconds, but it got nothing like a rescan command or something from me.
I haven't a clue what it's doing, but it should of course not delay
playback, whatever it's doing.

Slimserver 5.4 is running on gentoo Linux (dual PIII-1000, 1.5G RAM).
Playback runs over WLAN. Bandwidth is always held free for streaming,
that's not the problem (and wouldn't cause the server to make cpu

Any hint?
