Didn't really know which section to put this in but this morning the Virgin Radio star logo has gone missing to be replaced with what I assume is a tunein logo. All devices and apps are affected. Not really a big deal just wondered if anyone else was seeing this.

Edit. Just tried changing the stream to 32kbps and the logo reappeared. Reverted to 128kbps and logo still correct. Weird.

Sometimes simply pressing FWD can also correct station art issues.

Sometimes simply pressing FWD can also correct station art issues.I thought it was strange that it affected two radios and I had tried switching to another radio station and back so changing stream was a last resort. Pressing FWD often fixes missing track info on BBC stations as well.

For info, there is actually an aac 'hls' stream of virgin radio that is of better quality than the mp3 stream that tunein provides.

It is possible to play this hls stream via the bbc Iplayer app. I've constructed the following bbc iplayer compatible url, and added that my favourites. Including the image :)

iplayer://live?hls=http://virginradio-uk-hls-128-stereo.akamaized.net/hls/live/2000320/virginuk_128/playlist-128000.m3u8&dash=&icon=https://virginradio.co.uk/radioplayer/live/img/virgin-logo.png&radiovis=fm/ce1/c201/09880

Nice find. Works for me :) Shame the logo is not shown next to the favourite but not a big deal. There is also a plugin from bpa called PlayHLS. When I had that installed I could see HLS streams available via TuneIn. I wonder if that would work for the Virgin Stream. I have not bothered to install it on this server as I can't remember what else needed to be installed (ffmpeg?)

Edit. I just tried installing the PlayHLS plugin and ffmpeg on my laptop LMS and the non iplayer compatible url plays. There is still no HLS option from TuneIn even though I can see HLS streams for BBC stations.

I don't suppose there is a way to see the programme name like the TuneIn stream.

This morning the AAC stream was 1.5 minutes behind the mp3 stream.
