View Full Version : Backup Programes

2005-01-10, 16:30
I just purchased a DVD recorder. Its on a XP machine.

I can map my Fedora server and copy all my music files.

I can also access my DVD from the server.

My question is what is the best program to use for backup?

I am checking out Retrospect that came with My burner at this time.

I like BackupMyPC from Stomp. I've used this w/ numerous DVD burners and have found it to be fast and capable.

There is also this free software (which I haven't tried and I can't vouch for):

http://pbackup.sourceforge.net/summary.html

Of course, this is assuming Windoze. I assume that because I think Retrospect is Windoze only, but maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks!
Phil
