Lms - mounting wd my cloud home
Hello. I'm new to this and have tried for hours to do the above. Hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.

Trying to mount the storage mentioned and not having any joy. I believe I should be doing this rather than samba. I could be wrong. Hoping someone can help with the below questions

What do I input as mount point?
What do I put in as share name?
Do I keep with cifs as share type?
Do I need to add a username and password?
Do I need to amend the options?

(Basically everything other than ip address )

Hope someone can assist.

I am using picore player and I have now copied the post there. Just desperate for someone to assist with where I'm going wrong.

On the PiCorePlayer web site is a quite detailed How To on most things I expect this is one of the topics

However in summary

First install the “additional file system support”

Then follow the online example for CIFS

Assuming the share on the WD is called Media

Mount point /mnt
Then ipaddress Media user password and one of the other parameters as required

This will then expose your Media/Music folder under /mnt/Music

It is case sensitive

Thank you for your reply. I did look on the picore player how to and couldn't find this 😥

I have now been able to successfully mount the drive... However no music shows on the pi so I must be doing something else wrong.. (my music is on the wd my cloud home)

What folders did you choose under LMS settings?

Also are you sure the user you chose to use has at least read access to the share?
It needs read/write for playlists but that’s later

Absolutely... Loving this by the way, wish I'd done this year's ago
