Are there any plans to use 802.11g as opposed to 802.11b so as not to
slow down the rest of my network?

Thanks,
Darren.

Hi Darren,

This is not due to hardware limits of the main cpu, etc. As such, it is highly
unlikely that it will even be possible to provide an upgrade. As for future
devices, the official policy of Slim Devices is not to make comment on future
hardware plans, so there is no info on that.

The options you have now, if you are resistant to a shared network:
1) add a cheapo 802.11b AP to your network and connect g devices to the g
wireless, b devices to the b network (this is what I do)

2) buy a squeezebox wired (or use your squeezebox wired connection) and connect
this to an 802.11g bridge.
