I've not been able to get Spotty working for the last few days. Does anyone know if there is anything about the implementation that would be affected by a router change? That is the only factor I can think of that may have affected things.

I think you will need to provide much more information if you expect help.

Saves all the; "have you done? are doing this, that and the other" type of questions.

I posted previously with more info. Was hoping for a lightbulb moment regarding the router to be honest.

Check your server.log file.

Remove accounts and re-add them.

Hi Michael, I've accessed the server.log file and am seeing several examples of the following message:

[18-03-15 17:04:07.6998] Plugins::Spotty::API::getToken (125) Failed to get Spotify access token: malformed JSON string, neither array, object, number, string or atom, at character offset 0 (before "Segmentation fault\n") at /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/API.pm line 122.

I'm not sure how to remove accounts and re-add them. Could you point me in the right direction?

Phil

Having re-read I think you mean remove my Spotify account and then re-add it. I've tried doing so but I'm getting nowhere when trying to authenticate via a Spotify app, and when I enter my user name and password into the server settings I'm just getting 'authentication failed'.

I am also having trouble with Spotty.

No 'Spotty Authentication" is showing up in Spotify connect, and when I try to insert credentials , I also get 'authorization failed.'

Make sure you're running the latest of everthing: max2play (there are
known issues with some older versions), LMS and the Spotty plugin itself.

Segfault - that's not good. Could you please tell me what system you're
running LMS on? What spotty helper is being used (see
Settings/Advanced/Spotty - name and version)?

So why did you start a new thread? Why don't you give us a link to that
information?

Look, you're asking for help. Don't expect us to keep track of all 35k
users' configurations...

I can only apologise. Probably makes more sense to just cancel my Spotify subscription to be honest....

I updated LMS to latest 7.9.1 and that solved my issue.
Thanks, Michael, you rock!
