As you can see.... your replies show up as a "reply" where as mine show up
as a new thread.

If I may interject here, I think the issue at hand is that Mr.
Whittaker's email client is not quoting the previous email's text when
he hits the Reply button, so to him it appears as a "new post".

Mr. Whittaker: you have two options here, either you can copy and paste
the text from the previous email manually, or you can try to find a way
to make your email client do the quoting on its own.

well, I've never been much of an outlook user (save for at work), but it should
allow you to reply using the same reply button you would use for any other
email, personal or list. That, or perhaps some silly MS config option is
causing things to get messed up.

Gordon,

Have you set the list/your Outlook to download all mails on the list? Or are you reading off the web archive and then clicking on a topic to reply to it?
If the latter, yes my Outlook Express would not reply properly to that, but works fine it you have your mail client download all the emails.

As kdf said a few hours ago:

This list is only helpful if you read the answers given when you pose a
question.
