Hello,
I have some wifi problems with picoreplayer when I'm playing flac over wifi. As soon as I do, the wifi load will get very high (as you can see in the picture between -10 an -7). This ends up in stuttering audio. I've never seen any of my wifi devices get such high load, no other squeezebox (touch or radio) or even a video-streaming device. Most of the time a reboot of the picoreplayer solves the problem. I've never had this problems while playing mp3, but I must admit that I have very few mp3s. Most of my stuff is flac. The pizero is about 2 meters away from the router.

I could do a lot of testing with my setup: updating picoreplayer, trying another wifi-dongle, change several router-settings, trying another soundcard, ... But I thought before I do that I could ask here to see if someone had similar problems and knows where to start ...

Here's my setup:
pizero
EDIMAX EW-7811UN wifi adapter
pHAT DAC Soundcard
Fritz!Box 7490 Router with 2.4 GHz
picoreplayer 3.11
squeezelite 1.8.6-997
Audio output: Generic TI51XX DAC
Output setting: hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry

I thought the Zero was not supported (officially) until 3.21?

The zero has been supported for a while. The zeroW is a recent addition.

Not sure what is causing the bandwidth. But is use the same USB stick, and it works fine for me. I still would suspect upsampling, but I'm not sure how to check your server for that.

Wouldn't it be the same problem with the other Squeezeboxen if I use upsampling? And why is the Problem sometimes gone when I reboot the PiCorePlayer (not the Server)?

But I will have a look on the Server Side. Maybe I find some upsampling Settings.

Upsampling is done to the capability of the device. But I thought you said it happens whenever that device plays. If you said it is fine sometimes, then it wouldn't be upsampling.

If ut is occasionally, then it might be retries, look at the wifi diagnostics on the pi when it is happening.
