Does anyone have any experience in getting the server rpm to work on Suse 9.1.
I'm after step by step instructions as I'm new to the Suse setup (although a
seasoned linux user). Any tips and/or replacement config files would be useful

Cheers

Tim

Tim, I am still in the process of getting things set up under SuSE 9.1,
but here's how I did it.

First of all, forget the RPM, it only works for 'hat and it's cousins.
SuSE does things differently. I am attaching a tarball containing 3
files.

You must do all of this while su'd to root. untar the attached into
root's home directory (tar xzf suse_91.tgz) and also download the
slimserver tarball there as well

readme is a step-by step instruction document (or you could make it
executable and run it from a bash shell).

As I'm new to this list, and slimserver, I was wondering if some other
guru types could look over what I've done and point out any errors.
Also I believe there are folks from slimdevices lurking, feel free to
include anything here or put it somewhere others can find it if it is
useful.

I've gotten a lot from this list in my brief time here, and would like
to give back to the community.
