Hello & Happy New Year!
I just receive my Squeezebox for wireless networks yesterday in the mail!
The setup went extremely well. The problem I am encountering is that as soon
as I get more than 5 feet from the wireless router, I loose my signal and get
the following message:
"Problem: Can't find a wireless network."
We have a Linksys wireless access point, and we have numerous wireless
devices throughout the house including laptops (both Windows based and Mac based)
as well as Airport Expresses.
We have no problem with these other units getting signals anywhere in the
house, but the Squeezebox appears to not want to cooperate!
I have even turned off the firewall that we use and that didn't make any
difference.
As I mentioned above, if I have the Squeezebox anywhere within 5 feet of the
Linksys unit, and if I am in the same room as it, the Squeezebox works fine.
It appears to me that my Squeezebox has a faulty receiver. It is a black
Squeezebox with a serial number = 209AB1A
Any comments or suggestions?
Sincerely,
Gordon Whittaker
