for a few weeks commands of my radio operate normally, but very slowly: it takes 1-2 minutes to go from one station to another. Idem for any other command, like going to the list of favorites, or having the network connection operational (icon from red to white), by wifi or ethernet (both links are fine with other devices). Once a command is set (like connection to a station), it works fine.
When looking at the parameters advanced, or running the diagnostic function, everything is ok.
The software version is: 7.7.3 r16676 and no newer version is available. No improvment after reinstalling it.
I am located in France;
Thanks in advance for your help

Do you use LMS or is your Radio connected to mysqueezebox.com?

Well, I dont remember, and I don't know where to find this information. However, when running the check network function, there is a text that appears and disappears immediately, using words like "arping"(?) and I can see mysqeezebox.com, but I cannot get the context. After running also the "repair network" function, at the end there is a line saying ~success of all network tests. And nothing improved.

I just found the server information box. apparently this is mysqueezebox.com, with ping ports tcp ok
Strangely, the ip address under mysqueezebox.com ocillates between 79.125.18.91 and 54.247117.234 every ~10 seconds.
LMS is "not connected"

As you'll need a computer to run LMS, I think you're using mysqueezebox.com.
It could be that your network connection is good enough to fulfill the test but to slow for an immediate reaction. How is your Radio connected to the network, WLAN, LAN or Powerline?
Did you try a factory reset of your Radio?

"How is your Radio connected to the network, WLAN, LAN or Powerline?"
100% ok, apparently no problem on this side, works well with other devices

"Did you try a factory reset of your Radio?"
I have just done it. Basically nothing improved. Going from one station to another takes ~ 20-30", which is what I see on good days (varies from 20" to.. minutes). Trying to go to the "mysqueezebox.com information does not work (>5'). Before resetting I could get through in 1-2' and see: Squeezbox versionSS:r,SN:r Data center: MySBEU West

Have you tried rebooting your router/modem?

"Have you tried rebooting your router/modem?"
No, and I prefer to avoid playing with my home connection.
Anyway, I have another internet radio (Avox) working fine on the same wifi network (btw no difference if my squeezebox is connected by ethernet to the modem). Also an iPad.

Rebooting router (simply unplug, wait 5 seconds, plug back in) should not cause any harm. In fact it is a good and recommended maintenance procedure everyone should be doing monthly.

Think about it.... what is the first thing all customer service reps tell you to do when you call about any electronic device? Reboot the device. They don't request this to waste your time. They do so because *many* issues are resolved by simply rebooting. Especially computer/software devices (such as a router).

cable/sat box, DVR, cell phone, computer, tablet, TV, modem, router, stereo, fax, printer, SqueezeBox player, iPod/mp3 player, etc..... all need a reboot now & then.

"Think about it.... "
ok ok, I have done it and... my squeezebox radio works now beautifully, like an FM radio. This is perfect happiness.
I can belieive it ..
Thank you all.

But now all little lamps of my modem are off, although everything (ADSL, mail, phone, and apparently TV (not yet tried)) is working fine. Never mind I will look online to find out what is wrong (I had firs pushed the "service" button and finally pull the cable and repluged it)

Yeah, sounds like you reset it or something similar, not just rebooted it. Just reboot once a month or so and it will help keep your network in check and error free (or at least fewer errors/issues).

"Just reboot once a month"

I am still puzzled by this kind of bugs. In a previous life, when I was using MS-DOS or a Mac, I was already upset when I had to pull the plug.
Will super-artificial intelligence need also this kind of regular, stone age operation?
