Softsqueeze General Qustion

With all this talk of softsqueeze I decided to download it. After installing
all the Java stuff, I thought I'd cracked it, however it starts to load then
just says "error starting softsqueeze". How can I turn on the console to see
what's going wrong?

First I'd try using the version of SoftSqueeze that's built into
SlimServer.

Go to the SlimServer web interface and then click on SoftSqueeze under
the Help section.

That's been the most painless way for me to use SoftSqueeze.
